Okay, granted, some of those are expansion packs, some are DLC for existing games, and some are bundles of games that can all be bought individually on Steam as well. So technically, there aren't over a thousand individual *games* yet, but let's just forget about technicalities for a second and pretend that little grey number at the top left of the list is all that matters. :P 
 
EDIT - If you live somewhere outside the US, you might see less than 1000 listed, unfortunately.

I must admit I am a bit curious what different games will go on sale in 8 hours. I have a feeling I'm going to buy another six games I'll never end up playing more than a couple hours of. I still have that fat stack of $5 D2D downloads to go through.

I just hope with all this Steam popularity that they don't ruin it somehow. It always seems that when a company does really well these days, the sell out or make their service worse somehow.

That's pretty awesome, I remember buying every game they had with the Half Life 2 Silver pack, back in the day. That was in 2005. They even gave me Day of Defeat: Source for free when that came out. The Silver Pack was pretty much the Orange Box of 2005.

Steams holiday sales are some of the best (game-wise) Anyone remember when Bioshock was $5 last year!?! Crazy town, y'all
