    i just bought a laptop with these specs: 
    CPU: T6400 2.0ghz 
    GPU:9600m gs 
    RAM:2GB DDR3 
    OS: windows vista 64-bit  
    Could I play Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Dawn of War 2? If yes, then in what settings? Could you guys tell me what other current games I can run with these specs?

    (Please feel free to post your specs and the games that you could run with it. To those people who dosen't know what games could they run with their notebook, please feel free to ask in this thread(post your specs though).

    Yes you could play those games on Low-Med settings.

    That is pretty much the same as my laptop, and It can run most games on medium settings, except for the obvious super high spec games like Crysis. I've played a tonne of recent games on medium settings - Mass effect, Fallout 3 call of juarez, saints row 2, wheelman, overlord 2 etc.. The only game I've had problems running is Street Fighter 4. Because the timing is so important it as got to run at a high frame rate to play well, and to get it to do this I had to turn the settings down as low a possible (which means no backgrounds, and very average character models).

    You could run any game in the Orange Box quite easily maxed out, and you could also run the games you mentioned at around Low-Medium settings.
