When I was thinking about alternative outfits as DLC, some struck me as odd. Why would Yu, who now goes to a completely different high school, wear the outfit from Yasogami to the TV world. You could say it was to hide his weapon in like he normally does but than why did he even bring it along to Inaba in the first place?
Let me know what you think.

Persona 4 Arena is an Arc System Works-developed fighting game with an Atlus-developed story mode that serves as the official sequel to both Persona 3 and Persona 4.
Any explanation to why Yu Narukami is in his Yasogami High outfit
While I have absolutely no idea, as I've not even played the game yet, my answer would be that - He left his school uniform at Dojima's house, when he returned for Golden Week (I think I heard someone say that's when this happens, right?) and found out they had to go back into the tv, the only clothes he had that he could wear and sneak a katana into Junes with was his old school uniform, and thus, he put it on to go back into tv land.

Who Naruwhati? I'm not familiar with who you're referring to.
Yeah Yu Narukami is a completely new character disguising himself as Charlie Tunokou. If he didn't wear the uniform Charlie's friend's might have discovered he wasn't Charlie.
Charlie (Yu) says in his story that it happens to be his equipment, but it's most likely for nostalgia as well.

Because it's a fucking videogamethank you!
Not thank you.
This is the exact same canned response you expect to see in every discussion that could be deemed "meaningless" on any video game page.
We're fully aware it's a videogame, sometimes it's just fun to point out/make fun of dumb inconsistencies.
Well the stupid reason is because it is a video game and that is what he wore in the last video game. The more realistic reason is because it is for his "equipment" although I was curious as to why he wore it right from the start when he got off the train because he didn't know yet that he was going into the TV to fight. Doesn't really bother me but it is a little interesting.

Didn't Yu say he checks the TV every rainy night just in case?
Yu's just CrazyPrepared.
No, he said that it's a bad impulse of his, because he knows very well that the Midnight Channel doesn't work outside of Inaba.
At least, I'm pretty sure that's close to what he stated.
I thought it was neat that Yosuke and Kanji have III and II on their collars now to reflect their new years, but Charlie still has his II from last year.
