An ignored masterpiece.
This game is one that slipped by without any attention because a lot of people didn't spend the time that it requires to get into it. Phantom Dust was released soon after Halo 2 had hit, and that dominated many people's video game time. If you haven't played PD, then you are missing out on a unique experience that is "unlike anything else on Xbox" as OXM states on the cover. It's a mix of a card game, action game, and Dragon Ball Z. Other than the wonderful gameplay, the graphics in this game are some of the best on the system and it still looks great even by Xbox 360 standards. The story is intriguing and it will keep you interested until you reach the twisted ending that is one of the best I have ever seen in a game. The voice work isn't the greatest, and the characters don't speak verbally outside of the beautiful cutscenes that tell the story. If you're looking for a fresh experience that you won't be able to find anywhere else, this is your game.
