Most of the games I play, I tend to enjoy their soundtracks, so I don't care about adding my own music to a game. If I'm playing a short, quick puzzle game or something and I want different music, I just put my TV on mute and play some music on my laptop or iPod.

Yea some people would like it but its not my thing. Listening to music while playing a game makes me lose my concentration, maybe with puzzle games like Bru said but no way would I be trying to do the Mile High Club on Veteran while listening to Metallica. Nice idea about the the MGS4 song thlough.

Because hearing the sound isn't important in that game or anything.
In shooters I need to hear the sounds, so I keep it off. But I do enjoy listening to some music while playing sports games. So I get your point.
