So I was playing the Lego Indiana Jones demo with my sister when all of a sudden, the game freezes. I thought it would be a normal game freeze, but then I heard my PS3 beep, and when I looked over, the red light was flashing. Shit. Then I pressed the power button, and it stopped flashing. I hit it again, and the PS3 turned on as it normally would.
So, as the topic suggests, is my PS3 close to breaking, or was is some weird thing that happened?

Is my PS3 close to breaking?
Ok, so I made a bad decision of posting on the forums instead of reading the manual. The manual said that the inside was overheating, yet I only turned on my PS3 twice today. One for LBP, played that for about a half an hour, and the Indiana Jones demo, which we were about 3 mins. in. I keep my PS3 in an open area. But, it's about 5 feet from my window so I wonder if that's the reason for this.....

"well how hot is it in your house? also its not good for either the ps3 or 360 to be turned on then turned off after being on for a small amount of time

" @Metal_Gear_Sunny said:Every time my PS3 freezes, it never does that." @trophyhunter said:its a forced restart. 9 times out of 10 when the PS3 does freeze, it will force a restart. You have nothing to worry about "" nope "Please elaborate. "
" @trophyhunter said:ooh alright because I was going to say if its like 90 degrees in the house with no ac your system will melt after an hour of play" @Metal_Gear_Sunny said:It's 84 degrees but we have an AC so it's cool in my house. " It seems you're good. I don't have much to add, except that I've had a 360 and a PS3 for a while now and the latter machine has given me no problems at all. I'm on my fourth 360 and every little spot of weirdness sends me close to panic! "
why do u keep buying new 360's.... do you have to have em or something.... after mine red rings again im gonna take it outside and record me smashing the shit out of it..... cause its only made of glue... for the most part :)
I happened again. Same thing. I think I'll let it cool overnight. At least it ran long enough to get a trophy in RFG. :P

At least it ran long enough to get a trophy in RFG. :P "I've been trying to think of a device that would allow my system to be a bit cooler. As it stands right now, it sits in a room with windows on all four sides, with 105 degree weather blasting in all four sides all hours of the day. My house sits at a comfortable 79 degrees normally, but my PS3 sits in the room where it can get upwards of 90 degrees in the middle of the summer. It sucks.
" Were you playing online? "What does that have anything to do with this. No, I wasn't. PSN was down.
