Like many people, I bought a PS3 early this summer for MGS4.

Before that I had always been an avid PC gamer, but now I only have a laptop for college which is no good for games. I love to play FPS', but hate dual analog controls with a fiery passion.

So, my question is this: How extensive is keyboard and mouse compatibility for the PS3?

I know that UT3 supports it, but I haven't been able to find any other information about it. I don't see why more games shouldn't support it, but the lack of information has me worried.

None so far that I know of. But, supposedly the 2.5 firmware update will allow you to take screenshots from any game using a keyboard. I suppose keyboard and mouse support is up the developers.

    Damn.

Ah well, I can get used to dual analog for Fallout 3. I do hope they add in more robust support with firmware updates, it seems like a waste to have the functionality and not use it.

    Thanks!

This is the second one, which I'm planning on buying once they're ready. But it's only for the 360.

The older versions had support for the PS3 though.

has anyone played UT3 on PS3 with the keyboard? IF so, how do you like it? I have the game and would love to try it out, but want to make sure it's not a lost cause.

i tried it out once (i hated the game and barrowed my friends keyboard that works with the ps3) and it wasn't that much better. if you like the game now you'll like it more with the keyboard and mouse. but if your trying to like the game like i did it doesn't work.

Is it as responsive as the PC version, or compariable to the UT2K4 version in terms of quickness and response?

im not that sure cause i have only played a game on the keyboard twice (ut3 on ps3 and crysis at a friends house) so im not completely sure if its like it but you can turn the gun faster etc.
