Overview
Announced on February 20, 2013 along with the PlayStation 4 and DualShock 4, the PlayStation®Camera is the camera accessory for the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation®Camera has two wide-angle lens cameras with 85-degree diagonal angle views which allows for recognizing depth. Each lens is capable of capturing images at a resolution of up to 1280 x 800. The Eye also includes four microphones to determine from where a sound originates.
The PlayStation®Camera can also be used for facial recognition. It will still be used with the PlayStation Move, but its enhanced capabilities will allow it to even more precisely track the Move. In addition to the Move, it will also track the DualShock 4 which now has a multicolored light bar.
