You guys are so well rounded, hehe. I basically refuse to pick anything but the fire-starters, so Torchic and Charmander are sitting in my box (though I periodically replace Braixen with one of them to level them up.

Hahaha, I did the same thing with a Ralts. I spent an hour finding another one and I traded M for a Riolu on the GTS. :)

My mainstays for now are:

• The second form of that bird that isn't Pidgeotto but has a fire attack
• Pancham
• The grass-type that kinda looks like a llama covered in leaves

They're all in the level 15-22 range, with the fire fox being the highest. And yes, I don't know the names of them. I could just open up my 3DS since it is right next to me, but these new pokemans are nothing but tools to me, man. Wartortle and me though, we go way back.

I got a Gengar from a Wonder Trade so I'll probably replace Amaura's evo. I'm not impressed with Amaura as it has died a whole lot during my adventure. I also want an electric type pokemon badly. I had a Kirlla for the start of my journey but found it to be really weak. I may evolve it one day but I'm not looking forward to it. I'd just like a fairy type to fight against dragon type pokemon when I battle online.

The newest addition to my team. He covers for the electric weakness for my team. Works as a physical sweeper. Might be out of the team when I catch Goomy.

Kyubey the Gardevoir - lv 46

Originally picked to be my Fairy type but still has yet to learn a fairy type move. Works as a Special sweeper currently with Magical Leaf, Thunderbolt, and Psychic brings a lot of coverage. Also that typing is pretty good. Definitely staying on the team.

Big Poppa the Blastoise- lv 48

My resident Megaevolution. Takes hits and gives hits like a champ but currently only has Water Pulse to go off of his good Sp. Attack. Also his Skull bash is still pretty strong even coming off of his hindered Attack. Doesn't really get much use but he is too damn cool not to have on my team.

A. Kuma the Pangoro lv 46

My current HM slave. He hits hard and has pretty great typing. But on the whole not really as great as he could be. He might get replaced by a Hawlucha, the only new pokemon cooler than himself. I just haven't gotten around to getting one without a terrible nature yet.

Frokage the Greninja lv 47

My other water starter. He is my least used member of the team but not for lack of being good. He is every bit the special sweeper as my Gardevoir. But when I need water I go MegaBlastoise and when I need dark I go Gangoro to keep levels even. His continued use largely depends on how I shift my team around but I guessing he will probably be more useful than he is now.

Rebellion the Aegislash lv 46

Unbelievably amazing. His only flaw is being slow. But his fantastic typing and incredibly broken ability more than make up for it. He can tank pretty much any blow and can hit back harder than any pokemon on my team. Plus he has utility as my resident False Swipe user and with that typing makes him perfect for pretty much any capture. You basically get Deoxys-A and Deoxys-D on your team with one pokemon with better typing. He definitely is definitely never leaving the team.

I'm pretty new to these games. I heard I should keep a pokemon to do all the rock smashing, swimming, tree cutting and flying. Is there a pokemon that can do all that? What would you guys recommend?

Pikachu is only on there because I needed some electiric attacks for something. Probably switch him out for something else soon. I got the Piloswine and Slowpoke (he just evolved) threw Wonder Trades. At first I kept Slowpoke around as an HM mule, but I've found him super usefull. Zen Headbutt tears it up. Piloswines ice attacks have also been super usefull.

Once I finish the story part of the game I am planning on building up a team that includes the three elemental monkeys, Mankey, Chimchar, and another ape and see if Team Monkey will hold its own in online battles.

This is what I beat the game with. Since beating it my team is basically in constant flux as I am focused on capturing new pokemon, breeding, and training... not fighting or catching all the legendaries etc etc.

@capum15: You can always stick an Eviolite onto your Dragonair. You won't have to hit B each time it levels then.

@fragor87: I could, but she's the lead in the party until level 100, and I always keep the Amulet Coin equipped for the leader. Even though I don't need any more money, I can't help it. Already up to 92 now, so just 8 more times.

I just started the game about a week ago, and I've only got 3 Gym Badges. I've been training at Battle Chateau for the longest time (I'm a Duchess right now) (It's a GREAT training area)
