I have a ps3 steam question about portal 2. So i never had a steam account before i bought portal 2 for the ps3 so when they asked if i wanted to make one i said yes. I didn't think know they would just take my ps3 name and make it my steam name. if i had known that i would have just made it on the pc. I was wondering if anybody knew if first time ps3 users are able to pick an acctual name once i log into the website. I havn't been able to get on because of the psn outage but if anybody has done this please let me know.
Your account name, as far as I know, can not be changed. Your profile name (this is what shows up on your Steam community page, friends lists, etc.), however, can be changed. In Steam, simply go to the Friends tab in the Settings menu and change the profile name to whatever you want.
