I've held off appearing negative in video comments, but since you ask, no thanks.

I love how a 'tiny' change to the header is somehow a 'huge' improvement, and has 'only' taken months of negativity for the small revision to be made :/

Why did you guys launch out of beta before those core pages were sorted out?

It's a mystery

There's no mystery, they just won't admit that it was a business decision as they had newly branded merch to sell.

I'm currently premium so why am I seeing a huge ADVERT to buy 'new merch' on the store, though at least it has a bit of colour to detract from the rest of the drab grey and huge low rez title image.

I don't know a quarter of the keyboard commands, functions, short cuts etc of the site, or its previous iterations, and personally don't care, but aesthetically the site now repulses me. It feels like I'm actively being pushed away, so god knows why anyone new would hang around, I certainly wouldn't be recommending anyone to look at the site.

I've been a quiet but loyal premium GB subscriber for years now but the redesign is something that is so problematic for my enjoyment of this site that I have to comment even though I know it will probably go unheard.

The new redesign actually interferes with my enjoyment of GB and the content it provides. The side-scroll menus are annoying and the order to the new layout is unintuitive. What was great about the design we had for years was the timeline. Everything was posted in order and you could scroll through it on a day-by-day basis to see what was coming out. There were plenty of ways to find a series then, but now I can't really follow the flow of the week.

The "Continue Watching" and "Popular" things are just useless and add noise to an already unpleasant navigational layout. The "Shows" section is great but give me a day-by-day timeline like we had. I want to be able to scroll through the last few days or weeks to see what went up when, I dont need them only ordered by series or in a slideshow-like view. Lists are great cause they're easy to parse the information from.

The "A Day in GB History" is the only thing that I actually like from all this new stuff. It's creative and fun. But the rest of the redesign is just painful

WHY AUTOPLAY!? No way to disable it is just bad design, like everything else that changed.

Also, who thought it would be a good idea to change the GB mascot? It was one of those things that was changed without needing to be changed and it looks bad.

Ways to fix this would be to make all of these sections modular, part of settings. Dont want to see any continue watching or quicklooks or anything in their own little slideshow of annoying crap, deselect it in settings. If we want a time-line/day-by-daylist like we had the other day, let us have that.

Going pure Netflix in design was a bad choice, its not how GB was used. I have to work harder to find content I missed last week and to find the wonderful written work since its not all in once place.

I really wish I could have the old site back. It's painful to use now.

Thank you, you've managed to mirror my own thoughts exactly. This rushed implementation; after categorically saying it wouldn't be; has left such a bitter taste that I keep considering asking for a premium refund, as I feel its the only course I have of showing my displeasure.

Yes, please keep Jason on the bombcast. Considering Drew doesn't say or play much I'd rather have Jason, but I can't see what the issue is with having 5, or maybe rotate Drew, Jason, Rorie & Dan.

You can pretty much find an answer to any query you may have here, otherwise just ask your question.

@synaptic: IMO; and many others; the first is a better game, so I'd highly recommend that its worth playing first (should be very cheap sometime over the Steam sale).

The games are designed for a controller, and so again highly recommended, and to be honest a controller is pretty much an essential pc requirement now a days anyway.

Ideally both, but if the game play isn't enjoyable then I'd rather watch a film. The prime example for me this year was playing Tomb Raider straight after Bioshock Infinite. I loved the visual impact and story presentation of Bioshock, but in stark contrast I found Tomb Raider so much more enjoyable to actually play.
