Enjoying the game so far, playing on nightmare. I would say that the corner stealth kill skill is borderline broken. You barely have to break LoS for that thing to work.

The way Randy was going on about it on Twitter it first sounded like he had wanted to call it F2P so as to get attention in the F2P sections of the digital storefronts. But then it turns out he had wanted Battleborn to appear as both a retail priced and F2P product and get double the exposure? I don't think it works that way.

Just take the L, Randy, holy shit. The naming of this is actively hurting the chances of this being some grand resurgence of Battleborn. Also, stop tweeting. I get it, there are a lot of assholes on the internet and you feel like it's right to stand your ground but enganging in verbal mudslinging with anyone that happens to draw your attention is not a good look for you and it's not a good look for Gearbox.

Honestly I think Overwatch, the base video game, is fantastic, but much of how the events are handled is leaving a real bad taste in my mouth. As far as I'm concerned, event boxes should have 2 guaranteed event items as opposed to the 1 it currently is, dupes for event items should never happen ever, and every legendary that drops (which already have a pretty low drop rate) during an event should be an event legendary. It is annoying as hell to feel like that during an event you are rolling the dice twice to get a cool new skin: once to actually get the legendary, and a second time for it to be actually an event item (make it three or four dice rolls if you consider the possibility of just getting a legendary amount of money or getting a duplicate of a skin you already have).

I heard the Ceo of 2K prefer to there costumers as Wooden Log's you can chop up for more money .... Company's aren't your friends let's keep that in mind.

While I can agree with the overall sentiment of these kinds of statements it's always worth remembering that most game development companies do have a core team of very creative and dedicated people that do have a personal interest in creating good products and customer satisfaction that do deserve monetary support. Ultimately it's about the concessions that have to be made in the balancing act between meaningful content delivery and keeping stakeholders and the financials of your management happy, and sometimes it can pull too much in a single direction.

I suspect that Microsoft's angle of attack for the Scorpio is going to be the multiplat front. Sure, they will show off Forza in 4K at this E3 and maybe Halo 6(?, sorry have no idea where the franchise is right now) in 4K next E3, but that's not going to be their focus. They know that when it comes to exclusivity they have to significantly invest at this point for what might be very little gain, and they seem to have dropped the idea altogether with the PC shenanigans. It's also worth remembering that most of the time exclusives, even if they are critical darlings, do not dominate sales charts, the multiplats do (Wildlands was the best seller in March, and think about what it was up against there).

It's also become clear that Microsoft Games seems to have real trouble communicating with the developers they bring on for 1st party projects and probably respecting creative/professional boundaries (that 2nd half of my statement is just pure speculation on my part). However, if they can establish their high-tech box as being better than the other high-tech box for playing multiplatform games on, they might be able to significantly boost sales. The main issue with this strategy is that it is almost entirely reliant on developers/publishers giving enough of a shit to develop versions of the game for the Scorpio. Also, unlike Sony, Microsoft seems to have very little by the way of marketing deals with 3rd party games, such as how Sony has with Destiny and the Batman games back when they were coming out.

Recall that with the last gen the 360 was almost always what most publications were playing/reviewing multiplatform games, and how that dynamic swapped to the PS4. I suspect that Microsoft wants a return to those days.

Pricing could be a big deal for the Scorpio. Right now the Pro sits at around 560 AUD here, effectively a bit cheaper if you consider the fact that most of the retailers here are putting in bundles with games a lot of the time for the same price. Scorpio will be more expensive, but anything 600+ will be a tough sell. Hovering around 700 AUD will be a real problem.

Though I'll never get one, I am real interested in seeing how Microsoft does decide to spin the Scorpio this E3. There already is a device that can theoretically play most multiplats in the best possible way, and that's the Personal Computer. With Microsoft opening most of their library up to the PC market, it's difficult to tell who the Scorpio is even for. For all we know, Scorpio is actually a next-gen machine that just happens to have full backwards compatibility with Xbox One games, and in a year or two we'll be seeing the advent of Scorpio exclusive games. It certainly is powerful enough compared to the One for that to be the case.

I think it's a combination of disliking video games in general and also being really bitter that said video games would have made him incredibly wealthy. He's probably way too pissed with himself at this point to admit that he incorrectly judged the situation, and so is doubling down on his hatred video games.

It'd be good if they show teen boobs. Need to keep a mind on the demographic. Political statement seems shallow as fuck but people will watch it because they eat that shit up.

Also tits. Think of the possibilities. Needs to be high school though, cant be too weird.

Remember he is basically a teen Commander Shepard. To be edgy he could get involved with a Muslim girl and convert her into the Western lifestyle and inspire her to stand up to her homophobic parents.

And also at the end he gets appointed to the Military academy of his choice and becomes a special ops soldier who is awarded the Medal of Honor in combat.

Does he also graduate top of the class in the Navy Seals with over 300 confirmed kills?

I'm curious but I'm pretty set on getting a PS4 out of the current modern console selection. I just want to see what happens at MSs presser.

I'm also just going to take this opportunity to say that I think the hype cycle about the Scorpio is real dumb. Any company can put a bunch of high tech into a box and say 'look at our box filled with high tech isn't Forza at 4K just so pretty?'. Everything they have announced about the Scorpio so far is almost completely meaningless in the vacuum of information around it. Cost? How will the Scorpio/One coexist? Exclusives? Who knows!

I know that they confirmed ages ago that all this will be discussed at E3 but I still don't think it's a smart idea to release these specs and just say 'Please be excited'.
