@roomrunner:Not a fan of Saturnz Marz. It becomes tolerable once Damon's vocals kick in but I am not feeling the auto-tune. In fact, apply that to Ascension as well, but I would place Saturnz Marz just above Ascension.
We Got The Power is just a nice feel good song. Not anything especially special but it'll always be a relaxing listen. Problem is that I feel like Melancholy Hill already accomplished that while also just being a great track in general, but I guess We Got The Power does have way more of an upbeat vibe in general.
Andromeda is easily the best track of the ones released so far.
Overall I feel maybe Humanz will be one of their weaker albums but I'm willing to give Gorillaz the benefit of the doubt (it was also only while typing this that I realised the parallels the album name is meant to draw with the bands name).
Also, was the story in Plastic Beach just tied up at some point? I know it's a bit rich to talk about 'story' with a fake music group but it was at least something extra to the album, not that Plastic Beach really needed it. Or did it all end up being a big 'doesn't matter lol' by the time Do Ya Thing came out?
GTX970 here. I start playing it and it works, though going back to windowed every time I alt-tab is a bit of annoyance.
Also currently loving it. This is the first new AAA release I've gotten day one for a while and I'm glad that this is what I decided to spend my time and money on.
I know it's a small thing, but the moment that occurs if you decide to return to the factory is just brilliant. I'm talking about retrieving all your stuff off of your old android corpse and that old heavy katana you left behind. The beauty of it lies in the fact that the game just treats it as almost nothing. No big deal is made of it, you just have to come to your own realization about what you're seeing.
@dan_rob_campbell: Because this unending cynicism is why a lot of people are thinking that this opening quarter/third of 2017 is one of the best periods for game releases in recent memory right?
The standing around and talking is mostly fine. Eyes are a little dead but whatever, it's passable.
Literally every time they try doing anything more than that things get awkward. Looks of what I assume are meant to be bemusement, annoyance or introspection are just these awkward silences where characters just kind of stare at each other. That whole cutscene with Peebee when she jumps on Ryder is something else. I assume that they are meant to be giving each other playful looks but that is barely brought across, and it's just more weird silences, along with unexplained toothy grins at each other. The games characters just cannot convey emotion more involved than mild interest in whatever conversation they are having.
