Despite all of the graphical and gameplay additions that made into this year's edition of NBA 2K8, it was the new addition of the Slam Dunk contest that was added that matched it with the NBA Live series. Albeit, it seems to suffer from the same plague which hinders it from setting it apart from the Live franchise, and that's the button combination.
