I just got my RetroPie set up a couple of weeks ago. Up to now, I'd been using my Ouya as my emulation machine, but obviously it is limited by the fact it is now a dead platform. It did take quite a bit of work and figuring out to get everything going -this is definitely not a plug-and-play solution, though now everything is in place it is pretty flawless. Since I never owned a Commodore 64 at the time, it's been fun to revisit some of those titles that I remember watching my friends play.

My controller of choice right now is the wired Hori pad for the Switch. I'd usually use my WiiU Pro controller on the Ouya, but I immediately noticed the input lag on the RetroPie while playing NES Mega Man. My short term goal is to get a USB adapter so I can use my original NES and SNES controllers with it.

Cabaret Voltaire - 'Groovy, Laid Back and Nasty'.

Yes, twenty years on, I still feel compelled to call them out on that one.  The godfathers of Industrial do a House music album that sounded dated even when it first came out.

Ministry - 'Dark Side of the Spoon'

A Democrat in the White House = poor Ministry albums

Skinny Puppy - 'Mythmaker'

The album that makes you look back fondly on 'The Process'.  At least it did have 'Politikil'.

Retronauts and Active Time Babble have come up already, as has The Nerdist, which is pure entertainment on wheels.

I have to admit that I do listen to Retro Gaming Roundup, but it is fascinating in the same way that driving by a car wreck is fascinating.  The more you listen, the more you realize that the three hosts are horrible horrible people, and how uninformed they often are about many things.   On the other hand, they do include the most obscure and interesting things, such as the Tron radio show they unearthed.

The Ken P.D. Snydecast is on summer break, but if you want to enjoy listening to the voice actor of Master Shake bicker about food and Elvis suits with his friend, this is the show for you.

Over The Edge and Puzzling Evidence are radio shows that run late at night on KPFA for which you can find podcast versions of (a bit harder to track down for stereo archives, however).  They kind of go hand in hand with The Church Of The Subgenius Hour Of Slack, also available in podcast form.
