I've got a poorly updated website https://bretward.com/ and a more up to date Instagram https://www.instagram.com/catfax.exe/ I've done more album art commissions as of late in sort of a lofi zine aesthetic, but I do a range of illustrations, 3d modeling art, motion graphics and animations.

Bruteforce probably.. was convinced it would be an even better coop experience than halo. Before that I don't feel like I ever really got caught up in the hype cycle on games. I just bought used stuff.

Yeah for me really there is only one of the new shows I am into but I am all for creatives getting to do new stuff. Hopefully stuff will land for me eventually. I am gonna stick out my sub a bit longer to see, it definitely is a different website. Stuff like more solo quick looks showing up is hopefully just a transitional thing. Nextlander on the other hand I've been enjoying basically 100% of the content. I don't really worry for giantbomb though, there likely are going to be growing as a website even if some old subs shift away.

@frytup: yeah I hear that I mean my mixer has a high pass on it and I use it to clean up low end when I listen. My monitors themselves are genelecs which are pretty decent studio monitors and should give a pretty neutral sound without EQing.

Got really into IDM, the older Detroit style of techno, UK garage / jungle / DnB, and hypnotic stuff, years ago.. really can't get enough of it. But I still apricate most of the music I used to like.

A while back I somewhat randomly decided to get a synth.. (an electribe 2) and quickly discovered that it scratched a similar itch to playing a classic arcade game, the ability to hit a button and have it make a great noise. Since then I picked up a Roland Sound Canvas (used to make the music to classic games on pc like doom) a Microgranny2 (a sampler than gives a glitchy crunch vibe) and a Digitakt which is just awesome for mangling and creating new sounds from samples. It is actually surpassing gaming as my main hobby quite quickly.

Just curious if any other giantbombers are using synths hardware or software and if it scratches that itch for you. What kind of gear are you using? What sound are you chasing? Post some of your music! I'll add some of mine later if this topic gets any steam.

As horrible as the situation has been I think that Anita Sarkeesians threats need to be looked at a bit closer. She has been caught lying before about what happens in games to bend things towards her agenda and I would not be surprised if she was also taking advantage of other peoples misfortune to get attention. The whole thing sounded horrible, I just wouldn't put it beyond her. Below are some links, not all that those people say are what I would call strong arguments but I hope I can help some people look at events involving her with scrutiny.

@themasterds: I'm mostly confused about what you're saying, UI on Nintendo has always seemed terrible to me like they just ignore that other companies have made amazing UI with touch screens and just live in there bubble of how things should work. While every UI update on my 360 slowly turned it into a way to show me adds and not a way for me to play games. PS3 while not great was the best UI of last gen in my book. I've yet to try the ps4 one but it looks like it will take a lets look through all the options of my new device to understand it fully. Xbox one I'm expecting it to once again become an advertisement cluttered nightmare.
