I would much more prefer Alex play through any other Bioware game. Jade Empire is very similar story structure to ME, KOTOR is a classic and Dragon Age is one of Vinny's favourites.
The story area feels horrible with incredibly slow movement and boring conversations. It's like bioware forgot how to do what it was known for.
The world is pretty but so empty. Mobs disappear in front of me and it doesn't really invite exploration.
As for combat you just spam abilities and bullets at enemies that have massive hit points. They don't really move fast or challenge you. Why you would move close is beyond me. As enemies don't really come after you.
Using the movement options doesn't really work in combat. Why hover where there is no cover when you can sit behind a rock?
It's like they made all the parts without figuring out how it plays.
I don't like the new sites. It's not horrible like the rps redesign but it shows less of what I want and adds button presses to things I want to get too.
For me the Ciri choice comes down to she's a princess, of this polish realm. If they cast someone who doesn't fit with most of the population how did the family get the throne? I hope they address that as there's plenty of times through history where foreigners make up the ruling class.
Though at that point it's a different story and probably a bit disrespectful to the polish who have a history of being ruled over by others.
