I let my 1 yr son play the demo and he just about beat it, not to mention he wasn't looking at the screen half the time.  I thinking it does look to challenging.

I think the problem Gorillawhat has with the game is that he expects a lot out of an aging game.  Don't get me wrong, I love Half-life 2 and the orange box for that matter.  In fact I like to think I'm kind of a fan boy.  But you should keep in consideration that Half-life 2 launch about a week after Halo 2.  That's roughly 5 years ago.  I still play Half-life 2 from time to time but the only thing I've notice since I gone through there episodes is that they added a lighting effect and better physics in ep 2.  Of which I loved all of them for the on going FPS grind - point to point action sequences.  Long story short I use to be a total Halo junkie and have participated in several arguments about "who would win in a fight Master Cheif or Freeman".  I'm not trying to be a troll here so the last comment was just an example, but I have been changed my mind since playing all the episodes.  There is more there than Halo had to offer.  For the most part they are about equal in Gun play, not necessarily
the multiplayer.  Halo has that hands down, and don't give me any of that Count Strike shit.  It's  a different game on the same engine - Half-life 2 multiplayer sucks balls.
But back to the original point Half-life 2 continues to move, from location to location.  Were some of the other shots of that time for example Halo 2, revisits previous locations or similar ones.  When its all side and done I just like the general progression Half-life 2 gives you.

100,000 buy in and 70 mil debit.  Kind of seems like eating a candy coated turd or that crap finish candy.  Sweet on the outside, nothing but poo poo on the inside.

oh, and yes totally on board with a new NBA JAM.  But it needs to have both Clintons this time and maybe even Geroge too.
