Ben, you really brought the best pure gamer skills to the crew. Hope you'll find joy and success in the next phase of your life. Thank you again, will miss your bursts of laughter.
GOG apparently listed Devotion, a horror game made by Taiwanese developers but pulled back due to its past controversy of anti-CCP messages hidden in the game. I can see why they caved under political pressure but if anything lays bare their lack of foresight or discretion in these matters and put them again in a lose-lose situation. I'm not miffed at their actions so much as their blanket incompetence.
Yeah, I kinda feel similar too, so I didn't renew. But I think it's just a general process of coming to grips with passing time and feeling nostalgic. Nothing has to be current and up to date at all times as the ravages of time will swallow us whole in the end and moreover I feel we are the vessel of sentiments wallowing in cherished loop of positive feedbacks and memories. So get what you can glean from the site that still rekindle in you that magic, and know that you're going to be welcome to the community whenever if you decide to come back. Happy trails!
If you're getting tired of what they say, you should take comfort in that what they say ultimately doesn't mean anything and will not influence even 0.01% of the sales that Microsoft and Sony will make selling their new consoles.
I don't know about who's going to win but I know who the losers are going to be: the gamers, who are going to be even more connected to restrictive platforms and become willing party to expose more of their personal info to the likes of Microsoft and Sony and overall pay more for less quality and end up owning nothing.
@oursin_360: No concrete data so far, but there was a bit of leak showing the thermal tests showing the gpu cooler going from 33 degrees Celsius (with fan not running) to around 65. The reviews will be up tomorrow, so not too long a wait hopefully :D
