Spot on review. I'm entering my 5th year of college (I changed majors very late in the game, but I'm glad I did because I love the work I do) and sometimes the stress of exams coupled with a tough work project can be suffocating. No Man's Sky is like a true escape from the daily grind that I can slip into for an hour or two at a time. I don't mind the repetitive building blocks of the scenery or lifeforms nor the grind of continuously filling meters as I travel from planet to planet. To me, it's less of a failure on the part of the game, though I can see how many people might be turned off or grow tired of such systems, and more of a promise that I can always know what to expect while at the same time always have somewhere new to go, to discover, and to explore. I look forward to future updates from Hello Games and I'll probably be playing in small chunks at a time for a long time to come. It's the colorful, weird, imperfect escape I didn't know I needed at this point in my life.
