I noticed the tiniest UI bug today while watching Mass Alex. When hovering over the video progress bar ahead of your current position, the image preview of that spot in the video isn't popping up (not sure if this is a bug as well or just the case for some videos?), but also the timestamp tooltip gets squished together as you approach the end of the video (and I assume the edge of the parent element).

As a developer who has a heavy focus on frontend at work, I know this is super small, but I figured I'd add to your JIRA backlog or however you track stuff anyway.

Thanks for all the hard work keeping the site up and running!

Alphys repeatedly calling your cell phone in Undertale, interrupting whatever you were doing and causing you to click through a bunch of dialogue was enough to make me put the game down and I never ended up going back to it before moving on to other games.

1. I definitely use "a website about video games" and I also mention the Bombcast/Beastcast.

2. Best of Giant Bomb, hands down. I've started people on those videos and then expanded into Quick Looks (Bequest, Human Fall Flat, or I ask for a game they are personally interested in or like) and series/playthroughs (Contradiction, Until Dawn, Hitman, UPF, Murder Island). But even my friends and family who aren't into video games and have no desire to watch dedicated video game related content have loved the Best of Giant Bomb videos. The rollercoaster video is also a fun one.

3. The axe throw in Hitsmas. Vinny VR barfighting in UPF. Pretty much any of the short clips in Best of Giant Bomb.

I honestly forget the comments section exists most of the time, but when I do scroll through I tend to find it pretty tame and fun. All public forums of communication will have some toxicity here and there, but the mods here do an excellent job. While it wouldn't personally be a huge loss if the comments section disappeared from videos, I don't think it should be removed just because some people can't be adults (or at least civil) about certain topics.

I've never played a Mass Effect game, so I'm a neutral party just watching how things play out. I have no expectations, hopes, or ideas for what this game should be, but I'm very interested in seeing reviews. Who knows? Maybe I'll hop into the series here, maybe not. What I've seen definitely doesn't look great, but I don't think it's all doom and gloom yet and I'm going to wait and see what the general consensus is after a few weeks.

My first console was a Sega Genesis, but I don't remember a time before it so my dad probably bought it for himself when I was very young. I played so much Sonic and Golden Axe on that thing before I was even in school. I don't think I had a concept of "other games" and figured those two must be it. I loved them.

The first console I remember the actual purchase of is the PS1. I sat in the car with my mom while my dad ran in to buy it, and I was bouncing with excitement. A lot of my best gaming memories come from the PS1 and playing with or watching my dad play Resident Evil (mom didn't like that he let me watch that one), MGS, Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, and old FIFA/NHL games.

Strangely enough, I don't remember when we bought the PS2, but we had it and it became my favorite system of all time (still is). Then I got a 360 for Christmas a few years later.

The first console I bought with my own money was the PS4. It felt strange to be able to buy it myself with money from work, but I also feel more ownership and a weird sense of pride when I play it. I'm an adult, damn it, and you bet I'm spending that hard-earned money on video games.

I have a lot of those little souvenir spoons. I think my grandma bought one when I was a toddler and just kept buying them for me wherever she went until I was in my teens. I used to have a display rack for them, but now they're sitting in a plastic bag somewhere (I probably have around 50). I never collected them myself, but it was a collection thrust upon me that I feel weird getting rid of, so I guess I'll have them forever.

I collected Pokemon cards for a very short while as a kid, but I never jumped into anything for any extended amount of time. I think I'm afraid to start a new collection due to the money I know I could sink into something like coins or games. The closest thing to a collection I have right now would be a loooooot of books, ranging from casual reads to purely academic texts, on ancient Rome and Greece. Reading about that stuff became a hobby of mine in high school and spiraled into a mini-library before I knew it.

I don't think it was due to age, but I came into the MGS series after I picked up MGS 2 on a whim for my PS2. I had no clue what was going on. Who is Raven? Isn't this Snake guy the main character? So why am I a blonde dude? I still enjoyed it, but I was so lost for so many years because I never bothered to look anything up.
