If you use a keyboard like this, you are a communist and I hate you.

Am I alone in hating the way some people think they can re-invent the fucking keyboard? What is this?

I was reminded about this pet peeve while typing out a text message last night on Xbox. Why? Why? Why?

It's much harder to type on the ABCDEF keyboard! Give me my fucking QWERTY keyboard, Microsoft!

Little too much for what you're getting. Might pick it up when the DLC gets a bit cheaper.

Gen:

That would not work. Medicare, Medicaid, TANF and Social Security would all collapse overnight. Rich people would avoid this "optional" tax, because hey, they're not going to need to use it. Poor people would be paying themselves, basically. These are transfers to the wealthy to the poor--for the good of our society. (Hard to make money if you're rich when all your workers are starving and thinking about revolting.)

Do you think we should have a military?
Do you think we should have public schools?
Do you think we should have public roads and highways?
Do you think we should have sidewalks on the street?
Do you think we should have street signs and lights?
Do you think we should have a police force?
Do you think we should have a fire station?

If you said yes to any of these--you're a filthy fucking socialist bastard.

Newsflash: Pure capitalism does not work and never will. We will always be blurring the lines between capitalism and socialism because it's a system that has served us well.

As for taxes, some of you fundamentally do not understand our tax system--you're looking at nominal tax rates instead of the real (or average) tax rate.

"Currently the upper tax bracket pays 35% for federal income. Under Clinton, for seven years that rate was 39%. Obama's plan is to put that rate back to 39%."

To be clear, that upper tax bracket will be taxed 39% on every dollar above a certain dollar amount. ($357,700). Every dollar beneath it is taxed at the appropriate rate--meaning the first $8,025 of that $357,700 is taxed at 10 percent, from $8,026 to $36,550 is taxed at 15 percent and so on up the brackets. The average will NEVER be 35 or 39 percent. Ever. Ever. Not even if you're a billionaire. It will never be 39 percent.

And that's not even factoring in deductions and credits. The real tax rate is significantly lower. And this applies the same for businesses in America. We might have a high nominal tax rate, but the real tax rate is very small on corporations, almost to the point that they might not even pay a single dollar in taxes.

I was being sarcastic. I don't care what anyone posts about. Talk about your bowel movements for all I care. No skin off my back.

You know, gaming sites aren't really the site for political discussion.
I would appreciate it if you would take that mess elsewhere, okay?

I know. I was going to respond, but there's not really much use in arguing with a KKK member.

Gen Warbuff:

I'm not running for the second highest office in the world--she is. Given that fact, she better be interested and care about the economy, health care, the War in Iraq, tax policy, education and so on--trouble is that she's not and cannot form a cogent argument about any of these topics. For example here is her thoughts on the War in Iraq:

"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that plan is God's will."

Apparently all we need to do is pray to God that he'll get us out of it, and it'll happen. Pray to God that our financial markets don't collapse, and all will be better. Pray to God the kids of America get a good education, and all will be better. Pray to God that everyone has access to affordable health care, and all will be better.

You get the idea.
