I remember playing Castlevania: Curse of Darkness on the PS2, which was a third person game that had you catch little minions things of different types that you could then level up to help you out in combat. I can't remember if it was actually any good though, anyone know if going back to it is a terrible idea?
I've only backed games by developers whose previous games I've already played and haven't gotten burned yet. While I understand that the point of kickstarter, at least in part, is to give smaller/unknown developers (of all sorts) a chance; I don't find it safe enough to essentially donate money to unknown people who haven't proven that they can deliver the thing they're asking money in advance for.
