review scores are dumb in general, stop being lazy and read the actual review! funny thing is, that many of the people who made those comments probably looked at the score and starting complaining. i still think a buy, rent, pass system would be so much better than scores
i'm about half way through the game and so far, i love it. its not perfect, but i feel like the $60 i spent was worth it. it has a great story, pretty good gunplay, good voice acting, great looking city. one of the problems people had with it is that although the "open world" is detailed, there aren't any things to do other than going from chapter to chapter. for me, it serves as a reminder where i am, a sense of place. but honestly, i am enjoying this more than GTA 4, the narative just seems tighter and the gameplay is more fun, in my opinion.
while i do think a 5 point scale is infinitely better than a 10 point scale, a "buy, rent, pass" system is sooo much better than any "point" scales. it puzzles me why so few video game publications utilize this.
the Millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson is supposed to be really good. I'm currently reading the first book in the series called "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo", so far its amazing!
