I think every trailer has looked bad, and I still think the CGI looks SyFy levels.

I hope I am wrong, and would really want it to be good.

I wouldn't say that means they have "learned their lesson". If it only includes baseline features from Civ 5 expansions, why would I change up?

I think it looks terrible, just completely uninspired and boring.

Beyond Earth left me monumentally disappointed, I felt they did the exactly same thing as they did with Civ V, which was, release a game that is nowhere near full fledged or great at launch and try to improve it with expansions. What's worse is that it felt like such a calculated move in that game, it didn't take much of the improvements from expansions to Civ V, and feels almost intentionally held back.

I hope I am wrong, but I fear it will be another underdeveloped game that will be really great in an expansion or two.

I really wonder why people say this is similar to Wolfenstein The New Order, when it seems nothing like it. That game was story focused, this seems anything but.
