2019: Year of the Strand
This year, our collective desperation in finding human connections has manifested in video games.
I consider two basic criteria to be a Strand; if something fulfils at least one of the two, I'll call it a Strand. For a game to be here, it has to either be:
- A game about forming human connections, or
- A game with a system that connects its players together in a passive/detached/especially meaningful way (not just any multiplayer game).
(Put together in no particular order. I just wanted to count them.)
