When i try to run the game from Steam all i get is the Steam launching message then nothing, just wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they had a fix?

the Cadazors i can manage to kill one losing about half health when its by itself but they just rape when they are in a swarm, i need to get to Ranger Station Foxtrot but i cant without running in to a crap ton of these badass wasps.
