What in your opinion is the best soccer sim in recent years ?

Maybe it's because I have World Cup Fever; maybe, it's because I feel it is high time to dust off my old footy skills and get back in the fray, but I have been pondering this question of late. So fellow GB peeps, I ask you: "What in your opinion is the best soccer sim in recent years and for what system."
A few years ago it seemed that PES had the soccer game locked up on the consoles, but now looks like FIFA is ready to reclaim the crown.
While I love the multiplayer goodness that is provided to me via Xbox Live, I really prefer the PS3 controller for comfort.
Which soccer sim should I pick up?
