Guys, I don't think he meant that the game itself would be short, but that he wouldn't enjoy it and therefore not last long for him. Am I correct on that assessment?

Anyways, congrats! I was wrong about Skyrim on many things.

I played Oblivion and hated it. Couldn't get to grips with the game at all. The thing about how much everything weighs. Really, really struggled with the game in general, the combat, etc. I gave it at least 10 hours of play but it just didn't click. Never played another Elder game after that. I got Kingdoms of Amalur which drew me in and I can see a lot of Skyrim in KOA and vice versa but you can't really compare the two, at least I can't. Both good for their own merits but prefer Skyrim.

Didn't buy it cos I didn't think I'd enjoy it. It's not really my sort of game. Admittedly, I want a game which will last an age. I don't want to pay £40 for a game that will only last a few hours but I just didn't see Skyrim fitting into that, rather naive and ignorant, philosophy. I was wrong. Doesn't happen often. It is 100% superb. A few glitches here and there but no game is perfect. So, Skyrim, I apologise for neglecting you for so long. It was based on a misguided idea of what you were about.

Has anyone else never thought about buying a game only to come to the realisation that, against their better judgement, they should have bought it sooner?

Watching TV this morning, one of the top new items was that 2013 would be the year that the percentage of female gamers would overtake that of male gamers. Is this really news? Games appeal to all walks of life and I know loads of females who play games. Why is society so surprised that females might actually be interested in playing games on whatever medium is out there.

Meh is a 7 or 8 as it is only a so so game. For a game to be great would have to be an 8 going on 9 or nine and above. And no, to all those who think I'm starting a thread for some inane reason that I won't even contemplate, no. It's a forum for games and gamers alike. I don't remember there being any 'rules'  about what you can and cannot post. I'm not a critic. I don't write posts for magazines or such like. Being an individual and given that you can post just whatever the hell you like on here, and people do, I felt it worth putting my feelings down. I didn't start this for everyone to slate it at every given opportunity, but I also have the foresight to understand that whatever I said would get a reaction, be it positive or negative. I had the choice of saying what I wanted. You had the choice to read it. You also had the choice to retort. That is your choice.
It's not about being 'unique' SASnake. Everyone is unique. Including you. A dick for making such a stupid accusation but you're unique none the less. Again my apologies. Not about the game or those who enjoy it but about being vulgar.
Elaborate on the game? Yeah I could but what would be the point? Everything I say would be challenged and opposed. I know why I don't like it. Do you really care? I suspect not. Do I care that you do not care? No and nor am I bothered but thanks for taking the time out of your lives to comment on my post. Makes me feel really, really important. (Try and spot the sarcasm)

Don't get me wrong, I can see a great game in there. There's a lot going for it. I just couldn't, can't get into it. I played it for a long time. A long time because I wanted to like it. Enjoy it. Make it worth spending 40 notes on it but I felt no heart. Everyone thinks it's excellent. I think it is only meh. 7 or an incredibly generous 8 out of ten. I'll meet you half way and go for 7.5 but that's stretching it. Sorry to all those who "love" it.

Personally, I keep it. Had one major clear out a few months back when I got rid of books, CD's, DVD''s and games's but that was it and has been it for almost 30 years. There's always going to be that one moment where you think "Damn, I would love to play that but I sold/gave/threw that game last week/month/year/decade." Irri-fucking-tating.

I'm a gamer. I love games. Racing, Sim, RPG or FPS. Doesn't matter what. I just love games. COD being a game. I can't help it. An addiction if you will.

Found a gun last night that shoots balls. They don't explode or do anything useful. They just bounce around the place.

No. I didn't get a picture as I was in the middle of a gun battle and was more than a little annoyed at a totally fucking useless gun.

That was pretty much my first response.

I found an SMG with 200% damage addition. Only problem was that it would let me move when equipped. A mate of mine found a gun which uses guns for ammo and shoots guns. Totally useless.
