An experience beyond. 0

After the first hour of Breath Of The Wild you can certainly tell that something is not exactly right. It's that feeling of "wait, how can this be...". After the first two hours, you're at the edge of your seat, slowly realizing that this thing you're feeling is very rare - so rare in fact, that you only felt it maybe once or twice before. After the first five hours you realize it's actually been eight, or maybe ten. Maybe days have passed, but you haven't noticed. You turn the console off and ...

Big mecha in a beautiful world? I'll take it. 0

What it is.It would be very unfair to just try and list all the things Xenoblade Chronicles X does right or wrong. Sure, you could take the game apart and weigh the good against the bad, but that would be missing the point entirely. This is a huge game. It's a JRPG, so it's huge by definition, and it has a lot of systems that you need to learn in order to play the game and enjoy it like it was designed to be enjoyed. That will take you the first, say 10 hours. The rest can take anywhere from 12...

The nature of violence in a nostalgia-fueled package. 0

Aftertaste.Hotline Miami games are the kind that you can (and probably should) like and hate at the same time. Love everything about the game, and hate about what it is. It may sound confusing at first, but so are the emotions you feel before the shock value wears off, as the pixelated gore and violence become just meaningless. The gameplay is pretty great, the aesthetic is amazing, but the subject matter of the game is such a contrast to its qualities that it itself becomes one of the best thin...

Pure Witcher[y] 0

Before we start, let me mention my Witcher credentials: I have read all Witcher books, the entire saga seven times, and completed the first game in every possible way. Obviously the first thing you will say is that there is no way this review could be unbiased. That may be, however I am trying my best to be objective here.  The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in the sequel to the 2007 groundbreaking release, The Witcher. The games are both based on a world created by Polish fantasy author, Andrzej...

How many ways of killing a zombie before you get bored? 1

The Dead Rising games have heart, you gotta give them that. Unfortunately, that's all they have, because the craftsmanship is really not good for today's standards and expectations.   I'll admit it: killing zombies in numerous ways is fun, always was, always will be. But that alone does not make for a full price game. If this was a $20 release - it would be great. But Dead Rising 2 is definitely not worth the money they're asking for it. Here are my reasons:  First of all, the story is as generi...

No blood? No problem! 0

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (let's just call it NGS2) is a PS3 remake of the 2008 X360 game, Ninja Gaiden II. And what a remake it is! If you're completely new to the franchise, here's a quick introduction: the Ninja Gaiden series consists of fourteen (yes, 14) action adventure games that have been known throughout the years for being extremely difficult and bloody satisfying. Let me put it this way: you think you can play games? Pick up a copy of Ninja Gaiden II for the 360, play it on the hardest dif...

Stabbing people in the face never gets old. 0

Assassin's Creed II is a game that received a lot of attention during the past couple of months. It's been nominated for the Game of the Year 2009 award at several websites, and gotten all positive reviews. There's been some talk about a buggy PS3 release, but don't believe the hype, I played the PS3 version and didn't notice a thing wrong with it. ACII is a sequel to a game that was very innovating, groundbreaking, and even though the story of the first chapter was somewhat underdeveloped and b...

Get WET with Rubi. You know you want to. 0

Wet is a very stylish and enjoyable third person action game... once you learn have to play it. It's not something you can jump right into, it will take some time to learn how to cause some actual damage. Just remember, your survival in the game depends on how stylish your kills are. You come packing two revolvers and a sword, and an Acrobatic Slow-Mo mechanism. You cannot progress in this game even beyond the tutorial if you don't learn how to chain these three elements together. Whenever you j...
