The English commentary is actively turning me off of New Japan every time I try to get into it. I don't have NJPW World and only watched AXS and Jim Ross and Josh Barnett are the worst commentary team out there (yes, that includes all of the WWE teams). JR lost his fastball years ago and couple that with the fact that he clearly just isn't familiar with the product and he's teamed with a guy that might know less than even him.
I recently started watching NJPW (started a couple of months ago) and yeah, I can't stand the English commentary either. I don't know who they are, but I don't like it. It's why I listen to the Japanese commentary, because yeah, sure, I might not understand most of it, but it sure beats listening to the English commentary.
The vlogs have been great! Don't worry about not posting videos if you feel stressed about it, like everyone else has said before, your health is more important!
I wouldn't mind a several-days-in-one video posted when you're back in the office tbh.
What if, - and stay with me here - they embraced the "run fast and deal with it" ethos of Mario 1 by making it so that whenever Mario gets hit, instead of getting bigger or smaller, he just drops all his coins, and if he can scoop them back up he's ok, but if he gets hit again with no coins, that's when he dies?
I don't know, I'm just spitballing over here.
Sounds interesting, but it feels like they would need to add a bunch of not really fitting platforming to limit how fast you could go to compensate, but like, put that in the latter half of the games, the halves people conveniently forget about!
@sunjammer: Seems like you're thinking of the NES games, the sequel to this one is Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. The NES and MSX games aren't really comparable.
Why the hell should they care if their experience with SMM is "unrelatable" to anyone else? They're not picking their GOTYs to align themselves with your own feelings and opinions.
