I played Final Fantasy 14 for well over 600 hours this year. Not only is it my # 1 GOTY it takes the top 3 spots too!

I really enjoyed the first Tomb Raider in spite of its flaws. It was fairly linear but that's not always a bad thing, the pacing was fast and always kept you moving to the next set piece. I had a hard time putting the controller down because of this.

Rise was really just a retread of the previous game. While less linear it felt like a hollow experience. The pacing was slow and and the larger environments were kind of bland. The progression was almost the exact same. I played over a dozen hours and was still getting the same equipment I had in the last game. There wasn't a whole lot of new features or mechanics. I did enjoy the larger more realized tombs and puzzles, but that's about the only thing I liked in Rise over the first one.

Despite people's love for Rise, it too let some of the air out of my enjoyment. I was just doing the exact same thing again. Hopefully Shadow will be different but I'm just not very excited nor interested in where this series is going.

That's too bad. I was just about to watch it and couldn't find it. I'm sure it'll be up later.

From Software's "Shadows Die Twice" (Are we even certain that's what the name is?)

Cyberpunk 2077 (Finally going to see what that game looks like)

Bethesda's "Starfield" (Assuming the rumors are true. I need more space games in my life.)

Pokemon for Switch (I'll probably be disappointed in the game, but I'd like to have a hint as to what it may be. Assuming it shows up at all this E3.)

Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima (Perhaps a more action oriented Nioh? Sign me up!)

I think it's fair to criticize Epic for taking THIRTEEN years to make Fortnite, but only a weekend to morph it into a Battlegrounds clone.

I didn't even know this game existed until just the other day, let alone it being highly anticipated. Likely the Giant Bomb guys didn't either. Seriously, this game came out of nowhere from my perspective.

I've waited in line a couple of times. I don't recall how long they were, but they were definitely shorter than 3 hours. I waited in line for Modern Warfare 2, Halo ODST and WoW: WotLK.

I also waited in line some 90 minutes for a Black Friday deal on a 4K TV. I was 6th in line. For a 'Door Buster', I was lucky they had quite a few of them.

By 2008 I was in my second year of college, and would be moving back in at home. The dorm life was cool, but it was expensive and I had lost my taste for it. I was still working part time at Disneyland. I was probably working crowd control for one of the big night shows they do.

The first Bombcast episode I recall listening to was actually in early 2009. I was looking for a podcast about video games when someone in another forum recommended Giant Bomb saying it was brand new. If my memory serves me correctly, it was the one where they talked about "Podcasting ON THE MOON!"
I instantly fell in love ever since.

I also don't quite understand people's outright disdain for Last Jedi. Sure, I get people's hang up with some of the subplots. But people saying it's the worst Star Wars movie are either lying to themselves or have never seen the prequels. It's lunacy.

Easily Rogue One. I left that theater with no emotions. I didn't like it, nor did I dislike it. It is the epitome of a mediocre movie.
