You know what makes me twitch the most whenever I see Dante's Inferno? You could totally make a cool video game based on the Divine Comedy. It could be a puzzle-platformer, or an adventure game, or something that didn't require you to murder loads of dudes and thus require you to be some kind of badass warrior rather than Dante Alighieri. I want to play the Divine Comedy! I want to cross the rivers Styx and Phlegethon, dodge rain of fire in the seventh circle, find the bridges over Malebolge, climb Satan's legs through the center of the world, then go up each level of the mountain of Purgatory and fly through the stars in heaven.  
 
That'd be awesome. It irritates me so much that they just give us "hey here's an action game in hell, 'cause hell's pretty cool, and let's slap Dante's name on it so we can use lines of poetry and names for stuff." Just make your killing people in hell game and don't pretend it's the Divine Comedy. That makes me think it's something I'm interested in, which is a lie and only leads to anger and resentment.
