I bought Deadly Premonition today...

...what was I thinking? Even after watching all 22+ episodes (so far) of BOTH Endurance Runs, I STILL bought it. Yeah, it was only 20 bucks and I had a 10 dollar Best Buy Reward Zone certificate, but I might have been better served to buy two 40's of Colt 45 and a pack of Parliaments. The ER episodes should be the polar opposite of marketing - "We're playing this weirdly compelling kind-of-shitty game so you don't have to!" In fact, if Best Buy had had season 1 of Twin Peaks on the shelves, I would have bought that instead. To make this even stranger, after watching Brad's Alan Wake quick look, I preordered THAT from Amazon yesterday and STILL bought this game. No wonder marketers love me. If they could make my blood into a plasmid and inject it into the general population. consumer spending would double in 2 months.
I'm not sure what to do. Do I still watch the ER episodes? Do I play until I'm just ahead of them? Will actually PLAYING the game be as frustrating as having simply WATCHED Brad repeatedly fail to kill the ceiling-wall-floor-crawling Japanese horror girl monster?
