I really enjoy playing this game merely for the mechanical feel of moving BUD. Not since Super Mario Galaxy have I just enjoyed moving a character around this much. And the spherical world is similarly trippy as Mario Galaxy's as well.
Ill 100% just for an excuse to jump and fly around some more.
I'm excited to play this, but the text of this review makes it sound more like a 3-star game than a 4-star game. Especially since Jeff doesnt care for many of the new features.
The structure of solar systems in this game is really messed up. There is just a jumble of planets all insanely close to each other that dont orbit anything.
It weird to see this after playing Elite:Dangerous which tries to be accurate about the structure of the solar system.
@ripelivejam: Well, Dan accuses people of being pompous when they don't think fast food tastes good. Though, judging from his stories, he was raised on a horrible diet. So he's not totally to blame.
Battledome is actually really good. The main mode only allows you to teleport where your team has painted the ground. So there is an actual front line of battle, which is defined by the paint. Also, the teleport has a cooldown, so you cant just zip around to avoid shots. Its a lot of ducking behind cover, reminds me of Nerf battles from when I was a kid.
What Dan doesn't understand about food is that regularly eating fast food literally changes your palate. He was raised on fast food, so I am not surprised that he thinks its totaly BS when people say cheap food tastes bad. He cant taste the difference.
