Really intense RPG with an unusual ability to effectively appropriate many things things that made Earthbound great.
Cool to see some real success coming out of a LD jam game. A few years ago this would have been a flash game on Newgrounds just getting by on ad impressions.
A dark souls for a new generation (of consoles, it's the same silly people playing it)
Provides a generous portion of excellent first-persion puzzles to solve while you contemplate some core philosophical principles.
A solid modern version Super Metroid made impressive due to the fact of its single-creator origins.
The grind feels a lot slower with some of the new additions on top of the basic 10M gameplay.
Interesting to see a folk tale from a part of the world that is rarely represented in popular culture.

Second best rhythm game of 2015 behind Rhythm Heaven Fever All the Best, but only one of these is on a region locked platform.
Cheesy story with excellent delivery and clever gameplay design stripped down the the bare minimum needed to make it work.
Hard to wrap my head around its being less of a game and more of a tool to facilitate improvisation.
In which Kojima directs his most ambitious (and flawed) game to date, and I love me an ambitious game.
Cute, but with very little staying power. Fun faded into annoyance fairly quickly.
As brilliant as this game is, it can't be "Important" because no other franchises have the status among the general public that Mario has. Almost any other game franchise could attempt to replicate this and accomplish nothing.
Charming and earnest in its mission to evoke empathy from the player while giving them plenty to chuckle at.
I take it back, this is the second best rhythm game this year.
Hard to get myself motivated to keep playing this.
Really funny writing, but the slow pace of the interludes that try to teach you mechanics are at extreme odds with the extremely fast paced gameplay. Led to me skipping the conversation and being subsequently frustrated by what seemed like broken and unexplained interactions.
