This is absolute drek. It's machine tooled to be as boring as possible, from the menus to the cutscenes to the maps to the gameplay. Ubisoft has got this down to a science at this point.
it just looks so consequence free. everything is made of paper. even the road barriers.
It would actually be amazing to play a racing/driving simulator with this complexity of environment. But there is just zero relation to actual driving in this.
Also all the menus and unlocks remind me of genshin impact
Old AVP games got it right decades ago when motion trackers tracked motion. It wasn't just a perfect radar of enemy positions. If something harmless in the level was flapping around, it would get picked up and beep at you.
I liked outer wilds a lot, but the later parts of the game were a real drag restarting multiple time to try and navigate the same areas over and over. I was so sick of the crumbling planet by the time I'd seen everything there.
