I'll never understand this mentality of "Oh did I bother you? Well it's your problem not mine." It's no different than Gamergate or Alt Right Trump supporters.

Hearing him opening the forums is good only because I was hoping the very handy SNES Classic hacking thread would be available for use. I can copy everything down and save it.

I'll probably stick around to help other members if need be, but I'm making the jump to the new place assuming it gets off the ground. Going for the best!

I definitely plan to stick around and even pay for a Yearly membership at the next opportunity as my way of saying thanks.

That's good, if anything I appreciated GAF's clean layout. Even before the mobile site had was easy to browse on my phone.

I was somehow lucky and was online at just the right time and got one preordered on Best Buy. Haven't played on it much yet. I have it hooked up to my pc monitor as just a casual distraction if my main tv is being used by someone else.

@hidys: it's funny but rather sad to me that these people projecting their hateful rhetoric on GAF when they're the ones so bitter and hateful. Even going as far to say "lol Gaffers were in their bubble and now they'll see how the REAL world works and see how WRONG they are lol" Yeah, sure kids.

Hi there Giant Bomb! Yep, another GAF refugee here! I was trying to make sense of everything and find a place where other GAF members were going. Of course all those GG people praising GAF's demise is easy to find, but this thread was the first result on Google, read through and I share a lot of the same feelings.

I believe I registered around 2008 or so, and like many people said here the fast paced, something-for-everyone format really drew in. At the time it was a great place to get Japanese magazine scans and get new game info. Even when it was later banned, I stick around. Pretty soon it became, as a couple other posters said. Wake up, GAF. Bored: GAF. Browsing on my phone? GAF.

In all my time there, I was never banned, but then I never really got into heated discussions too much.

Not much to add that hasn't been said yet. If someone took NeoGAF away from Evilore and started it anew I'd be cool with that, I'd also be cool with with former members making a new successor to GAF that wasn't GAF.

Anyway, thanks mods and admins for being so open and welcoming. It's funny, even before this meltdown, I was thinking of looking for places to check out outside of GAF. Seems as good a time as any.
