Yeah, I find it pretty gross. I actually cancelled my sub an hour before the Jeff G announcement, but this countdown would have pushed me over the edge regardless. The timer plus the announcement post are leaving a very bad taste..

Finally cancelled my sub as my renewal was coming up in a few days. I'm cancelling not because of the lack of content, but because of the lack of communication. I find it borderline disrespectful that there has been next to no engagement or discussion about a clear lack of content and direction with the paying community , many of whom have been supporting Giant Bomb for year.

It feels like the staff just can't be bothered-- and yes, that might be completely off base and they might be bursting at the seams to say something to us that their corporate owners won't allow, but that's the feeling / perception I have, and that's what is going to linger with me here at the end of my time as a premium member. It's frustrating and a sad way to "end" things.

I appreciate the response, but that being the first comment we’ve heard from staff on a serious issue that’s gone on far too long is pretty disappointing.

I think this will be the cycle I let my sub lapse, if the service still exists by then. I think the posts suggesting premium could go away may be onto something.

@nickm: Well to be fair, they did say they wouldn't be putting out much content in May / June as they figured things out internally.

I feel like I just got my driver's license and someone sold me a bugatti. I lucked out on this build for $800 yesterday. A friend just built it a month ago, but life is life, and needed cash, so he sold it to me. Did a fresh install, and am good to go, but I have no games, and I'd like to really test it out. I'm going to the Mad Decent Block Party in Atalanta this weekend. Diplo, Skrillex, RL Grime, Flosstradamus, Dillon Francis, and more....so excited!

I am about 3/4 (I think) of the way through the new Tiny Tina DLC, and I have died on the same boss upwards of 15 times. Without a full party of four, playing through this new DLC on Ultimate Vault Hunter mode is proving to be nothing but constant deaths and struggling to do damage. I appreciate that Gearbox created Ultimate Vault Hunter as a challenge for players, but it becomes nigh unplayable as a solo game at times.
