I don't think I could be in a relationship with someone who doesn't like gaming. But love prevails over everything else, so I guess you'll have to adapt. Does she have any hobbies you have no interest in? Because you could compromise - 'Okay, if you're going to do that, then I'll play a game or something until you're done.' It's not a negative thing to have differences, you just work around them together. Congratulations on your impending nuptuals, I wish you both the best!

@Morrow: Yeah, I suck at originality.

I was waiting for someone to say this!

@CaptainCody: I've recovered from depression before, I just weaned off the medication after a period of time, and seeing as I was doing okay I knew I was over it. Happiness is a big word but my experiences with depression have made me stronger once I've got better.

@Vinny_Says: Okay, some more stats for you.

And I understand that you need to do some of the work along with the medication - but since being on the medication, I've had the energy and the will to actually be active and do stuff instead of being lethargic and nonchalant. So without one, I couldn't acheive the other.

Minecraft probably. Can we download adventure maps and mods?

Yep, but you'll be spat on if anyone knows you're playing it.

If we're allowed online access, I'm guessing enough people would choose World of Warcraft to make it worthwhile. Even if I get sick of playing eventually, I know there's enough like-minded people hanging out there that it'll at let me be social with other people who are still into games.

To be more specific, 2007-2008 Burning Crusade era WoW, I haven't really played since then, anyway.

Online access is allowed but it's like an underground thing. You have to be careful that no-one catches onto you or anyone you play with.

I just had this silly PC mouse that's shaped like a sports car arrive. It was cheap, it looked goofy, figured why not.

EDIT: This thing here. EXTREME RACING!

It's like your hand is driving a car!

Okay, so you're trapped in an oppressive world where video gaming is heavily frowned upon (as are most other forms of leisure) and although you'll probably have people spitting on you in the street, you are allowed to have one game - but that's it. One game to play for the rest of your life, on any console from any era, but that's it.

What do you choose?

(I know my oppressive world scenario is dated, but it's hot and my brain doesn't want to work today.)

Timed challenges. Might be harsh in saying they need to die, but I've given up on so many games because I've screwed up a timed challenge.

@Vinny_Says: Well, if you can find another way to stop people from killing themselves when they're in the midst of a breakdown thanks to depression, I'm all ears.

And I get my statistics here. I was wrong, it's actually 1 in 4.
