I just finished Yakuza 4 last night and even after watching all of Beast in the East I'm amazed at how much better this game looks. The garbage and papers in the street really got me, nothing like that in 3 or 4. And Kiryu looks so much younger. I need to play 5 next and keep the plot going but I can't wait to come back to this. Also, Alex was so close to Sky Financial, I wanted him to pop up one more flight of stairs and see if they had a fun text reference to it on the door but he would have no reason to know to look there. It also threw me for a loop when Alex didn't know where Millenium Tower was but I guess it would still take getting used to having only played 0.
Sky finance is not yet there. Explosion in this game that allows it be around.
I've never played one of these games, but this looks cool! I've been dreaming on a Sleeping Dogs like brawler, not even thinking about this series. One question: Can you unlock any kind of counter moves? The fighting's cool and all, but it would be neat if the combat had a bit more flow to it similar to the Akrham series.
Well previous games have had moves that you can do as counter either before getting hit or after receiving hit. So there most likely is some sort of counters available at some point.
Information on the internet is vague somehow. Can someone tell me what sorta Minigames exist in it? Is it only Space Harrier? Minigames make these open-world games for me.
Shenmues strongest point was playing Outrun!
It has SpaceHarrier, OutRun, Fantasy Zone, and Hang-On, claw games.
It should have dancing minigame, karaoke minigame, Phonedate minigame. Previous games in the series also had golf, shogi, pachinko, fishing, blackjack, poker, roulette, Majohng, but I am not 100% if they are in yakuza 0.
Americans lack of adherence to norms is just individualism in action. ISO 8601 just gives a standardised norm for businesses and the government to orientate, which turned out to be widely accepted by everyone but Northern Americans (there may be exceptions). Its similar if compared on why the GMT system and the Metric system have to exist.
I'm European and the majority of people in my country consider Sunday to be the first day of the week. Even our calendars show Sunday as the first day of the week.
Most older countries, specially ones with historic ties to the roman empire or christianity, judaism and islamism considered Sunday to be the first day due to old traditions.
Even though ISO 8601 is now the norm that says Monday is the first day, it's a fairly recent norm that most don't follow anyway. For example ISO 8601 also dictates how dates should be written but each country has their own way, based on their language.
May I ask what country you are from? Just curious.
They are still shitty about the zombies mode? Great.
I don't mind Zombies (I think it's a fun, goofy clown-game), but I understand why it doesn't get Jeff and the others excited. What I don't get is the amount of bitterness directed at GB for not liking the mode.
It's because of the bitterness directed from GB to people who like things they don't like. It's definitely a 2-way street.
I don't care for the zombies mode (I liked Spec Ops way more, too) but I'm not going on and on about how it sucks either. In every CoD QL done by Jeff, he always talks about it and says the same things. Every time.
I still don't see a problem here. Every COD game since CoD 2(?) has included a zombies mode, so it's not repetition for Jeff to say "Yeah, there's another zombie mode and no, I still don't like it. They're commiting to this thing and I don't like it".
And I still don't get the feeling that you're being attacked by Giant Bomb. The staff has never, once, in the history of Call of Duty, said "People who like Zombies modes are dumb" and -- despite how it feels to people who like the mode -- saying that the "Mode ITSELF is dumb" is not the same thing, because it disassociates the PRODUCT from the PEOPLE.
As a father, for example, I'd NEVER tell my children that they're dumb. If they goof up, I will DEFINITELY tell them "well, sticking your shoe in the weed-wacker wasn't the smartest choice, was it?"
Cod zombies was introduced in Call of Duty World at War.
