" I really, really think there should only be one post/application per user, or even, per IP address, per giveaway. As it currently stands, whoever spams the most posts seems to win. This happened with the Klonoa giveaway where a user must have posted a hundred times and won a copy. "Really? I thought they said you only get one vote per reply? After all, the site is all about databases and spreadsheets. I doubt it'd be too difficult to ween out the repeats when you can slap all that info into a excel doc. Was Klonoa after they started using random.org for contests?
As for requirements: I dunno about that. I mean, I'm here all the damn time, and I haven't done any wiki edits, and rarely contribute to forum discussions. That doesn't mean I don't read posts on the site (both official and user-created), watch the videos, and listen to the podcast. I enjoy video games as much as the next guy, but I'm not crazy with the game-based knowledge. So while 100 points is a pretty small amount, it seems like it might be asking a lot of the casual game player, forum lurker, or eager new member. (Then again, I don't even know what it takes to get 100 points. Kind of talking out of my own ass here. >.> )
