@LiquidPrince: This would be probably for the wii successor, the D-pad is largely irrelevant these days.

I have not played reflex or red steel 2, but from the video reviews the bounding box feels familiar to some of fps i played on wii.  The one thing that annoyed me, esp in MP3, was doing the 180 turn, which if memory serve me was nigh impossible in that game. Also the messing with sensitivity setting does not appeal to me(and average player, it a nice touch though). Whenever i play fps i prefer them for game-play on the wii, then the ps3 and 360, not the pc though, i just think that if the wii reticle was left solely for aiming, fps on the  wii would be better.

@marcusravenheart: I see where you are coming from, but RDR has sold about 5 million already, is absolutely brilliant. So sale would should not fall off if the sequel is as good and refreshing as RDR. The setting could be bridged (or audience be conned) if the main protagonist was american in Australia, probably best if he just arrived. I like the Africa idea, it worked for far cry 2, so would love to see that work.

@Alaska_Gamer: First of all Goldeneye will never be dated. I think the remake will benefit greatly from the current wii setup for fps. I hope that game will have online. Anyway given enough time i think it would not be too hard to get to grips with the dual analogue system,

@Alaska_Gamer: Maybe if you stand still your accuracy greatly improves. That could be good compromise, but obviously you be more likely to be hit.

" First of all, Nintendo doesn't make FPS games.  Secondly, CoD: WaW and CoD: MWR nailed the controls to something that is far superior to analogue controls.    Thirdly, MotionPlus enables cursor control way beyond the boundaries of the TV screen, making this a non-issue. See Red Steel 2.   Fourthly, this thread will be filled with opinions of whining people who haven't touched a Wii FPS game since Far Cry.    "
Well retro studios is 100% owned by Nintendo, granted retro is not in Kyoto, but the with Nintendo owning 100% of retro, their first party, so Nintendo does make FPS. Anyway It is not beyond Nintendo EAD making a FPS if the wanted, as fps elements have been in Zelda since 1998. Yes the bounding box is better then ps3 and xbox controller, due to the level of auto aim needed for the PS3/360, but moving the bounding by moving the aiming reticule to corners of the screen, is not ideal either, if the moving of the bounding box could be achieved by a second analogue stick, leaving the Wii reticule solely for aiming, would definitely speed up the gameplay.

@Alaska_Gamer:  My opinion would be that an aim button slows things down, and generally results in you standing still, or just strafing left and right when you are aiming. The way i suggest allows for the movement controls like in halo 3 etc, but with the aiming of the wiimote.
