I think Javik was a pre-order bonus. But you had to buy it if you didn't pre-ordered. The Wii U version came with Javik on disc as well as the new ending. A lot of people criticize ME3 but I remember loving it at least until the ending and the new ending they added were less bad but still not good. After Andromeda it seems like a masterpiece though. I wonder how the people would have reacted at ME3 if they had known about Andromeda being so much worse. Part of me would want the series continue with Andromeda but I understand if they don't want to play it. I had to force myself to finish that game. I did actually think it was not as bad as people said though but still not a great game. I didn't have many of the bugs and it looked good on PC but the story and gameplay were still below the standards of ME1-3.
I was a huge Shenmue fan back in the day. It felt like playing a game from the future. Going from the PS1 to getting a DC with Shenmue was mind blowing in a way that you just don't get these days with new games just being slightly better looking versions of older games when you get a new generation of consoles. Seeing this is so true to the original makes me want to play it. But I will take out my DC and Shenmue 2 and replay that first since GB didn't do a Shenmue 2 playthrough. I just don't know if I should play Shenmue 3 in English like the first game or in Japanese like the second game (They never dubbed it to English on DC just when it came to XBOX). I never got the HD release of the first games since I heard that had so many issues but I still have the original Dreamcast games.
I loved the first game on Gamecube but this is not the same. I spent dozens of hours with Monkey Target back in the day but this is dumbed down. There isn't even a wind meter.
Gamers Nexus talks about the freezing. It seems to be a thing on CPUs without hyperthreading. They say the solution is actually to increase the resolution. Going from 1080p to 1440p lowered the avarage FPS but stopped the freezing. I have a 9700K which seems affected but only at 1080p and I don't play at such low resolutions anyway. Also I am not buying this in PC even if I could run it fairly well on my 9700K,32GB RAM and RTX2070. I have it on PS4 and it plays and looks good so I see no need to buy it again. Maybe in a year or two when it comes to Steam and it is on sale.
It clearly says F1000 not F1. That is why the cars are smaller. And you don't need to be an F1 guy to know that because I am not. I just read the text on the screen.
Digital Foundry says the game runt at 540 to 720p docked in around 400 to 540p in handheld. The Framerate is at 30 with dips into the 20's. I have played it on PS4 and the framerate is not good and it seems to be about the same. On PC I get around 50 at 4k Ultra or 90 at 1440p ultra so it plays a lot better than on console. If it was locked at 30 it would not be so bad but when it dips to 20 it just isn't acceptable.
I'm not a Dark Souls fan but I got this for free with my ASUS motherboard and I thought it was pretty fun. I have only played a bit of Demon Souls before, never Dark Souls but I liked this more than that.
