Seems okay. Some of the sound effects sound straight out of Jak and Daxter. The spin jump sound and the elixir jar collecting in this game sounds is like the precursor orb collection sound in Jak.
@yummytreesap: As someone who just spent four years living in Canada, lemme say that while this is an easy perspective to hold from the outside, when you're actually living in it, it isn't so cut and dry. As a nation's currency becomes weaker, wages don't suddenly shift along with the increased cost of living and prices for imported goods.
In other words: Imagine that two years ago you were making 12 dollars (CAD) an hour. A new game cost something like 60 dollars (65 after tax), so that means it costs about 5 hours of labor for you. Today, because the Canadian dollar has gotten weaker, that same 60 dollar game would cost like $88 after taxes. That's seven hours of labor from someone still making 12 bucks an hour. And add onto that the increase in prices for lots of other things as the CAD gets weaker, and that shit adds up.
Again, I get it, from the outside it looks like it "evens out," but it doesn't. For a lot of Canadian consumers, the prices of games have bumped up twice in the last few years. We don't lose anything by being empathetic towards that condition.
Preach! I've adjusted my spending on games over the last year or so. It has gotten really expensive if you want to keep up with the "triple a" games of the world. This has given me the opportunity to go into my backlog and play some great older games while I wait for prices to drop.
