Drew should totally: A) listen to more tapes B) start going in at night on missions that aren't huge in the first place that end up going to night time naturally. C) equip the NVG on his left item slot so when he press left on the dpad it will always go to his NVG (and not the box which is disorienting), which are useful during sandstorms as well as picking out a ton of things in the environment including diamonds, materials, items, guards, gun emplacements, exploding barrels, and more...basically anything interactable in the game is highlighted in "night vision" for instant recognition.
I don't understand why they're so against the NSMBU style. I mean it's my least favorite too, but it still plays well and the propeller hat is still pretty fun.
As good as Drew is at the hip shots, looking down sights (RB) during reflex mode, especially when they're kind of off screen or whatever, is almost a must at times. It's just so much more accurate and safer/easier. Oh and during sandstorms, or just when you are hunting for diamonds, tapes, and materials or whatever else using the NVG makes things instantly simple to see/pick out.
