Perry and I try out Rusty Hearts! It took us four attempts to actually record this Free to Play, and this is the best one out of them. If you watch it, you'll understand why that's such a dumb thing.

I've been playing a bit of it recently. Grindy as hell to seemingly no end, but a fun little distraction when I just want to mindlessly kill shit and listen to a Bombcast.

I just wound up playing 4 hours in a row of this with another person. I found it pretty fun, and it far exceeded my expectations for a F2P. I mean, really, this is the first F2P that I've seen that is actually a *game.* I look forward to playing more of it, even if it is grindy as all hell (oh hai kill 500 skeletons mission), but I don't want to play this by myself at all. I could see it being very very boring in 1 player.

What does Rusty Hearts even mean? I've seen some ads for it around, but I never click those things so this will be interesting.

@fazzle: I'll admit-- some of our negativity in this video stems from the repeated attempts of having an uninterrupted/uncorrupted record session. Maybe we'll take a look at it again down the road.

I tried playing it today and I found it really boring.
 
Also every single character in the game world looks exactly the fucking same which is beyond stupid.

I've been playing it recently, and it seems okay. I really like the "anime" art style of the game, so I guess that's what's really keeping me hooked. Well, that and trying to learn combos.

If you're even remotely interested, I would recommend giving it a try.

@DanielComfort: If you do, I'd recommend playing it with other people in a party, instead of by yourself. It really helps get the crazy ass combos going, plus I like the way that anytime you pick up a valuable item, it decides via a wheel spin who gets the item, so you don't have to fight over people being greedy and just picking up items instead of helping the battle.

I've been playing it a bit also - it's fun for what it is; I'm not sure how long I'd want to keep playing it though, it's very repetitive.
