The 2010-05-25 podcast has an email question at the end about which games pioneered headshots and regenerating health meters.
I might have this wrong, it's been a while, but I remember watching a friend play Day of Defeat beta sometime in 1999 and him explaining a regenerating effect. "You need to take cover and rest up for a few seconds." I can't remember though, if it was actually health (it's empty, you die) or stamina (it's empty, you can't bunny-hop and sprint like a maniac). Does anyone remember the very early Day of Defeat? Did it have regenerating health?
I just finished Ace Attorney. My favourite was the last case, because held together the best. I actually did the wrong thing sometimes because I thought it was too clear, and based on the previous cases I was expecting wacky and illogical. After all, I want to feel like I'm solving it, and not just guessing everything.
On the latest bombcast they talk about someone switching to XBox and "discovering" why borderlands is a good game. I've been playing it on PC and enjoying it. What makes it significantly better on XBox?
