  • From the first time I heard "Strap It On" I knew this was gonna be special. I was a blown away with the batshit insane weapons, levels, characters, vehicles and genuine humour throughout this amazing game. This game took me away from everything else to complete 100% and I am just begging for DLC to have me misbehave in Steelport all over again.

  • This game is the definition of the term 'epic'. I didn't agree initially with the direction Bethesda took with Fallout 3, but they pulled out all the stops with the latest entery in The Elder Scrolls saga. A beautiful, detailed world filled with everything to keep a serious gamer busy for hundreds of hours.

  • I bought this game expecting more of the same. I was wrong, this is not the jump we got from Left 4 Dead to its sequal. This was a grand leap, akin to the jump between Half-Life games. Wheatley, Cave Johnston and the return of GlaDOS are some of the best characters to have keep Chell company throught some of the funniest and fiendish puzzles yet.

  • As a fan of Blade Runner I had been frothing at the mouth for this game ever since it first uncovered its gritty vision of the future with a trailer many months before release. The serious tone and the future in decay asthetic really stuck with me. I never played the first two games for more than a few hours, but I am currently gearing up for my third runthrough without being spotted!

  • Reason to buy a 3DS? Yes. This game really swung me around on the 3DS that previously had been sitting doing little more than playing existing DS games when the battery on my DS Lite died. It takes a good bit to get into it with the game only getting to a respectable difficulty half way through. A great showcase for what the system can do and 3D in general, this game really took me away from consoles for weeks.

  • As a Rez addict of course I got super excited when this was unveiled at E3. This games looks stunning, sounds amazing and plays like a charm. Tetsuya Mizuguchi created a great spiritual successor to Rez, fighting people off the top spot on certain songs for weeks had me working hard! Very addictive, challanging but oh so rewarding.

  • First time I seen this I couldnt grasp at all what made this game fun. The gameplay was simple and wasn't clear what you really had to do to play it. Upon first playing it I soon found the story, translation work and characters really made this game stay at the forefront of my mind for the rest of the year. The gameplay was creative and fun although very simple. The finest game to see the DS off.

  • I was never a fan of the Resistance series, even though I own the first two I never really played much of either. They were paced horribly and the story never grabbed me. That all changed this year when this game was released. Insomniac took the weapon system from Ratchet & Clank and follower a one man story that didnt was easy to follow and didnt require any history from previous games. Played great and looked better. This game got me to finish the others soon after.

  • From three of the greatest minds in japanese game development comes this legitimately funny romp with two of the most off beat protagonists in gaming. Billed as the most playable game from Suda 51, this is a great place to start if your looking for zany off the wall story with great film references (see: The Evil Dead scene). With Akira Yamaoka's phenominal soundtrack, this game shows that Japanese development is as creative and fun as ever.

  • This was my addiction for the start of the year, both on XBOX and Windows Phone 7. SouthEnd had created a fantastic looking game that is easy to play but can get ridiculously hard if your not pay attention. With a great story ozzing with hidden meaning, a brilliant soundtrack and the cutest little dudes. You would have to be insane not to fall for the utter charm this game emits.
