1. Dead Island
My only problem with this game was that it's short. While the story is broken, "characters" are simple archetypes or quest-givers and the ending is terrible. But none of that detracted from simply how much fun I had with this game.
Also, Zombie ass. How can you go wrong?
2. Battlefield 3
I love Battlefield. I love vehicles and I love destruction. This game satisfies both those needs and that's all it needs to have for me to love it
3. Saints Row: The Third
You should play Saints Row 3. Already played it? WELL PLAY IT AGAIN
4. Mount and Blade: With Fire & Sword
I've never played a previous Mount and Blade game. Some people may not like the changes they made to it, but I love guns. And having my army full of dudes with guns slaughter stick-wielding bandits.
5. Cargo! The Quest for Gravity
Hilariously dumb and crazy. It's definitely not for everybody, but it's definitely for me.
6. From Dust
Never heard of this before the GB quicklook. Surprisingly pleased with how it turned out.
I never bought into the hype for this game, and had low expectations. Love the artstyle.
8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with Call of Duty. For as much hate as this games gets, it's still awesome.
9. Trine 2
I'm not too into platform games, but Trine 2 showed me why that genre of games is still not dead.
10. Ace Combat Assault Horizon
Guilty pleasure game of the year goes to this game. For what it's worth, I still had a bunch of fun blasting enemy jets out of the sky. That's all that needs to be said
